BRMI STRENGTHENS STAFF CAPACITY THROUGH TRAINING ON LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM


BRMI organized a staff capacity-building session facilitated by the Education Officer, Mrs. Odo Peace, on the topic “Learning Beyond the Classroom.” The session emphasized the importance of continuous learning through practical experiences, collaboration, and everyday opportunities, equipping staff with insights to enhance both their professional growth and service delivery.


FAPS PROJECT: STRENGTHENING CHILD PROTECTION AND ADOLESCENT WELL-BEING AT ABAGENA IDP CAMP IN MAKURDI, BENUE STATE.


Through the Family-Based Protection and Psychosocial Support (FAPs) Project, BRMI reached 116 children and adolescents at Abagena IDP Camp with recreational and life-skills activities that promoted psychosocial well-being, strengthened understanding of adolescence and puberty, and encouraged healthy, respectful relationships.

FAPS PROJECT: EMPOWERING ADOLESCENT GIRLS WITH ESSENTIAL LIFE SKILLS AT MEGA IDP CAMP IN MAKURDI, BENUE STATE.


Under the Family-Based Protection and Psychosocial Support (FAPs) Project, BRMI empowered 78 adolescent girls at Mega IDP Camp with essential knowledge on adolescence, puberty, menstrual hygiene, and healthy decision-making, strengthening their confidence and resilience to navigate this critical stage of life.

BRMI commenced the Family-Based Protection and Psychosocial Support (FAPS) Project with an entry-level (baseline) assessment at Mega, Abagena and Ichwa IDP Camp, where the team engaged Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA) officials to introduce the project and obtain authorization for implementation.
