BACKGROUND
Brotherly Relief Mission Initiative (BRMI) is a youth-led, women-focused, non-governmental, non-profit, and non-religious organization committed to eradicating hunger and advancing UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) while restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity to vulnerable and underserved populations.
At BRMI, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, hope, and purpose regardless of their circumstances. Our work focuses on supporting vulnerable women, children, adolescents and young persons (AYPs), elderly people, persons with disabilities, displaced families, and other individuals and communities facing poverty, hunger, crisis, and social exclusion.
Through humanitarian assistance, agriculture and food-security interventions, health and psychosocial support, education, skills development, women’s empowerment, livelihood opportunities, and community-based initiatives, BRMI walks with vulnerable people not merely to provide immediate relief, but to help them rebuild their lives, strengthen their resilience, and create sustainable pathways out of poverty and hunger.
Our commitment goes beyond responding to needs. We seek to restore dignity where it has been lost, create opportunities where they are absent, and inspire hope where despair has taken root. We are guided by compassion, integrity, equity, resilience, sustainability, and the conviction that meaningful change begins when we choose to care and act.
BRMI is legally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria on 2 May 2023, with registration number RC 6950643.
Our guiding belief is simple:
“If you can’t feed a thousand people, please feed just one.”
Because sometimes, changing the world begins with changing one life at a time.
